CLOUDBASE DID THAT | Resource Allocation
edition_one.png

Does your operations team wonder where to put things in the warehouse OR hot house? Do you know if you'll have all the raw materials you'll need 3 months from now? Is your traceability report generated from Google Sheets?

If so, it's time to upgrade your resource allocation tools. Your team deserves a map showing slots to hold resources with a "drag and drop" tool to easily change what is where. They should be able to see traceability information in a single click. And, clicking on an icon should show you the resource allocation you need.

CloudBase Services built a comprehensive plant management system for a Midwest marijuana farmer. It replaced legacy software with an easy-to-use app, significantly improving yield. The app also automatically sent data to regulators and licensed retailers – leading to higher revenues and profits.

Q & A | Single Source of Truth
QnA.png

Question: My nonprofit raises money by inviting people to events and asking attendees for donations. Our events management system is not integrated with our donor management system. When donors have multiple addresses, it's virtually impossible to consolidate records and see all the gifts from one person. It's also increasingly difficult to know where donors live and if two prospective donors are married to each other. Help! We just need a list of donors and donations without duplicates.

Answer: You are not alone. Many nonprofits struggle to keep their mailing, member, and donation lists up to date and in sync. There are two crucial steps:

  • Set an organization-wide goal of having a single, comprehensive source for accurate data within 4 months. Make it an organizational priority. Talk about the benefits of everyone sharing information.
  • Create a database to hold the shared data. Make sure the software it's built with is secure and has role-based permissions. The software must include automated backups, connectors, and robust reporting.

Once those two things are done, start compiling master lists.

PHRASE OF THE DAY | MCP Server
Phrase.png
MCP Server – MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It's a tool to connect generative AI tools to other content. Think of it as an API for sending information to ChatGPT and similar AI tools. So, if a company uses Salesforce to track sales and uses Canva to store customer briefings and CloudBase had set up an MCP server, you could ask the MCP Server to tell you which clients were briefed on your new products and what the date was of those briefings.

Claude is a large language model (LLM) that answers typed questions in a conversational style. Like ChatGPT, Microsoft's Copilot, and Google's Gemini, it provides information, suggests issues to consider, and can have a conversation across multiple interactions. We find it gives appropriate answers and hallucinates very little. Plus, the platform now easily integrates with Slack and other tools. Not sure whether to believe a newsletter?
